World’s First Combined CGM & Insulin Pump Study: First Patient Enrolled

A new clinical feasibility study has started for a groundbreaking wearable diabetes device that combines continuous glucose monitoring and insulin delivery in one patch pump.

The SMART02 study, led by McGill University and ClinSurge Research in Toronto, will include 40 participants.

The device, called niia signature, is designed to support automated glycemic control and represents a major step forward in diabetes technology.
